Three months before I got the offer to become a software engineer at Northrop Grumman, I was sitting at home having just lost my GoDaddy return offer, wondering if I had any future in tech at all.
I didn't come from a target school or a computer science background. I studied geology, learned to code through a community college class, and pivoted into engineering with none of the things that were supposed to be required.
So instead of sending more applications into the void, I built a system. I tracked every role, went to every conference I could get to, rebuilt my resume until it landed, and drilled interviews until the nerves stopped running the room.
At one of those conferences I walked up to a Northrop Grumman recruiter, applied, interviewed, and got the job. I later found out the entire team I would have joined at GoDaddy was laid off.
The system I built to get here is the exact system inside this accelerator. Same skills. Same market. A completely different result. For $27.
